Oven

I didn't think I'd get all school girl excited about my (big emphasis on the word my) kitchen appliances, then I used my oven.
I can tell I've grown accustomed to the less finer kitchen appliances that apartment life brings...unevenly cooked food, preheating taking about a half an hour, etc...

This beauty, she is a rockstar.

I suppose it is just a sign that I am a homeowner...appreciating my kitchen appliances and all the space I have.

Friday favorite phone photos

Because my posts are irratic at best, and because I have over 8,000 photos on my phone - which will probably just stay on my phone for all of forever, I have decided to begin a ritualistic Friday favorite phone photos. So here is to week 1...

taking a bath in the "big bath"

A trip to the store to purchase (another) angry bird with his hard earned money.

Her first dilly bar, squishy love from him.

a bike trailer built for two - but we made it work for 3 = stellar workout!

 rockin the chap stick already.

A mid week trip to Chuck E Cheese - just because

He wants full, undivided attention, always - and that would be both of them if you were wondering which "he" I was referring to :)

Sunshine, bubbles, and 92 degrees = lovely.
 sweet afternoon wagon ride

Love this window in our house.

oh.my.goodness. how old does he look?  Crazy!

The sweetest watermelon, ever.

Summer loving

The inside of our home remains a mystery.  Soon enough we will be forced indoors and I'll take pictures of it then...  For now we are soaking up what June has to offer, and well that is 90 degrees, and hours of fun outdoors.

Soccer has become a regular family occurrence, everyone joins in.  I'm not sure who likes it the most...

The rickity old playground that was left behind from the last owners, well it is getting more use.  So what if it leans a little, it still has plenty of life in it.  We have plans to get some stuff to put on the wood to minimize the potential for splinters, and well, then it'll be ready for another go round of summer time fun for these three littles.

We've been attempting to teach R to pump, but goodness his coordination paired with stubbornness is killing it.  Soon enough though, for now he likes to fly when P or I can't push him.

and whatever R does, K likes to follow suite.

On a side note, P purchased a push mower.  He preferred the push mower for two reasons - 1) he is a super mega cheapo, and doesn't want to fork out the money for a ride on, and 2) he said it was a great form of exercise thinking he'd just run while pushing it (ummmm, hello how crazy does that sound?!)  Anway, he proceeded to mow, not before putting on a pedometer first...cause he is a huge dork so scientific.  2 hours 15 minutes and some 13,000 steps later our lawn was mowed.  Sunburned hands, and blisters on his palms resulted, and now P is rethinking this whole push mower idea.  I bet we end up with a ride-on before the end of the summer...
*****
Upcoming plans for outdoor fun include - building a fire pit this weekend, putting up a badminton net (of which I'll totally school P playing), spraying the crazy-outta-control weeds, and keeping up with our daily run - the kids LOVE to cheer us on as we run by, often times the kids like to chase after us and try to keep up for a bit.  Oh this family life = LOVE.

R is making friends with the neighbor kids, and we like to secretly spy on them...I still cannot believe I have a kid old enough to go play with friends!

Trying to keep K content while R is away playing with his new friends can be tough.  I can't imagine what it'll be like for both K and R when R is at school 5 days a week in the next couple of months...Thank goodness for the distraction of bubbles.

So that is us, now, in June.  Busy, and outdoors.

The great Loprinzi move

Day one of new house - arrive with our U-haul of loot.  Quickly found out the water was turned off, and wouldn't be turned on till Monday.  Lovely.  Just when I thought we'd need to drive 40 minutes back to our empty rental house to shower my filthy, sweaty, sticky family, our neighbor knocks on the door in a friendly - welcome to the neighborhood sort of way.  He asks if we needed anything.  After he so graciously helped Paul haul in the washer, dryer, and fridge I asked in that awkward - I know we just met you but can we (as in all 5 of us) take a shower at your house tonight? And so we did, cause people in Kentucky are cool.

The neighbor boy mowed our lawn - and we have an acre...Another neighbor boy came up and helped Paul with yard work.
P is hard to see - but he is there, trimming up the shrubs/bushes/flowers.  Lets just say my Mr. (bless his heart - don't judge, I am becoming Kentucky-ised) is not the artsy-make-shrubs-look-good sort of trimmer.  He is all about getting the job done.  I'll have to post a pic of our sad lookinglovely tree...

And we are still trying to distribute said loot throughout 4,200 feet of space, and our bodies are beyond tired.

We are getting tired of trying to incorporate ways to keep our kids busy and happy while we attempt to get settled.  This moving stuff with 3 littles is hard work...

my little helpers putting felt pads on the chairs.

The fly swatter guy, minimizing bugs, one fly at a time.

So instead of moving in for the 4th day in a row we had a family day.  It was needed.

And just so I don't paint my family as perfection - I'll let you know that there were a few (okay several, shameful) expressions of "SHUT UP Paul" (on my part) exchanged- we don't do well together in extreme exhaustion - I get grumpy/short tempered, he gets overly affectionate/buggy/annoying (but we work on it, cause someday we will be the sweet old, gray haired couple who are still just smitten for eachother), I think that the kids overall had a good day - perhaps we did too :).
*****

It was a day to look past the mess of the house we are making a home, to tip toe around the maze of boxes, and to just...be.

To share Popsicles.

I literally did "share" with K.  He just walked up and took a huge honkin' bite out of mine!

And for those wondering - it was "yellow day" per Ryk.

And it was lovely.

all of it.

These boys.  This man.  This yard.

This weather.  These perfect cotton picturesque clouds.  80 degrees.

This swimsuit cutie.

This love.

So blessed!
