Yogurt-fest

K is getting better at using a spoon.  So I figured I would let him feed himself some yogurt so that I could do the dishes and clean up the kitchen.

He had a great start.

and slowly he got some yogurt on the handle of the spoon and it all went downhill.  The yogurt started getting everywhere, and I had to stop cleaning because it was so amusing watching him.
Like every great mom, of course I didn't help him out, as that would hinder the learning opportunity.  Instead I let him continue on in the yogurt-fest and photographed.
and Ryker started saying something to the effect of - "holy mother, goodness golly, Kipster is a huge mess."  I couldn't agree more.  And when there was no more yogurt left to spoon out, he did what just made sense...
Then he noticed it slipping down by his chin, so he grabbed it and cleaned those little fingers covered in yogurt right up.

P was trying to tell K to take the bowl and put it on his head.  He thought he would encourage K to make a mess for me to clean up, obviously encouragement was not needed...
Even as a yogurt face this kiddo is stinking cute!

and then it was straight for the bathtub.

Our little peach is 15 weeks...baby is about the size of a peach this week.

Pregnancy randomness, because I haven't shared in a while...
  • The past two days in a row have been puke-free which is sweet victory.  Perhaps an end to morning sickness - knock on wood.
  • I already look pregnant, enough so that complete strangers feel the need to comment (as I carry my 1 year old) "how busy my life is going to get..."  Sheesh if they only knew I had an almost 4 year old at home too.
  • Yesterday I ate 4 tangelos in about 10 minutes, and if I had more I'd of gobbled them up too.  Today I made an unplanned trip to the grocery store, I never do that, for more tangelos.  This time I bought more than 4.
  • I am noticing that my 30 minute runs are becoming more difficult.
  • My husband hates the pillows that have become our bed.
  • I have a constant craving for Mexican food, and R hates the smell of anything resembling Mexican food cooking (enchiladas, burritos, taco salad, nachos).  So R complains a lot, and I eat a lot of Mexican food.
  • Maternity clothes are almost a must, which is going to require shopping since all of mine are the wrong season.
  • I thought this pregnancy I wanted to have a surprise, but the closer I get to 20 weeks the more excited I am to find out the gender of this little peach!
