Milestones

I always wondered what in the world this huge fork-like thing that took up space in my kitchen was for.  When we made s'mores the other night I quickly found a use for it.

This was R's first s'more, and while it wasn't made over a campfire, burnt crisp, and covered in ashes, it was perfect.

My sweet little K decided to take his first steps (two of them) on September 8th.

I was at work, and got a text message from P informing me of this milestone.  And I cried.  Yes, I love my job and am so very thankful for it (as is our checking account).  But this is the part that I hate about being a working mom.  My kids are the world to me and so missing two steps, is well a huge deal in my book.

And then on September 9th little K decided to stand up unassisted all by himself, right in the middle of the room.

Once again, I was...at work.  This time for a silly first aid class, why I needed to take this first aid class is beyond me.  But regardless, another milestone missed.

So cute. Love the smores :) I couldn't imagine missing those milestones. I know it must be hard for you, but you are missing out on it because you love your family and are trying to make them have the best life. They know they have a loving Mommy AND Daddy and that is HUGE. hang in there. :)
And, I can't believe how big K is getting! WOW! He is looking more and more like R to me... and more grown up :) Aww....
