I went to check out a daycare/preschool center today. It was raining as we walked in, and R said "God had to pee" as we were walking into the building. This preschool/daycare center just so happens to be run through a church...so this was a statement that made all the little gray haired ladies who volunteer there giggle.
He was so disappointed to leave as he "wanted to play a really long time with all those boys." Interaction with kiddos his age is going to be fabulous! I am so excited for him, he is eagerly anticipating his first day on Monday. Little K however, I am dreading drop off. I know he will be fine once he settles in, I just know he hates it when I leave him. Such a little mommy's boy.
While I was in checking out this daycare/preschool I got a voicemail. My supervisor called to offer me a full time position. Currently I am on-call so I fill in to cover sick and vacation days. I was offered a swing shift position, 1-11pm working Sunday through Tuesday. I was a little apprehensive to take this position, since this would mean missing out on bedtime for my little guys 3 nights a week...but P and I decided it was worth a shot. So I called an accepted the position. Within an hour of accepting the position, my supervisor called me back and said one of the day shift nurses is interested in the swing position I just accepted. So we are going to trade shifts! So September 30th I will begin working full time. My schedule will be 3 days a week - Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:30am to 4:30pm. This works out perfectly for us as P doesn't teach any classes on Thursday and will be able to stay home with the boys. So the only day the boys will be in daycare is on Friday, and they will only be there while P is teaching for 3ish hours! We are so lucky that I can work full time, and P can work full time - both on day shift - and only have to put our kids in childcare for 3ish hours total! Things are just...falling perfectly into place!
and here are a few pics of the kiddos last sunny day we had here...
R just busy "saving the city with Spiderman"
and K the little clingy Mommy's boy on my back, and baby at 15 weeks in my belly...
