Lately

Just to let you know, it isn't always rainbows and sunshine over here.  Attempting to work, take care of my family, exercise, and clean this apartment all while 16 weeks pregnant is giving me reason to retire the superwoman cape.     

Currently K is protesting nap time, which he desperately needs.  So I am letting him cry, in his crib, while I sit here typing to distract me from running in to his rescue.  Hopefully he gives in soon!  R is planted in front of the TV, watching Super Why if you are wondering. 

I think I am on track to earn a gold star today as a mom.

Dinner time has been a bust here recently.  I am either too sick, tired, or...lazy to cook lately.  This reeks complete and utter chaos in my home.  If you know P, then you understand and no further explanation is really necessary.

To deal with this, I told P to take some cooking classes.  Seriously. 

And lately P never has socks clean.  He doesn't ever complain, he just asks about it.  And for whatever reason, his inquiry drives me crazy, and I take his simple question as a complaint about my lacking ability to keep up around here.

So I told him to buy more socks.  Seriously.

K is quiet.  But it is apparently mowing day around here.  Of course it would have to occur right now.  

On Monday the boys went to their first day of daycare, ever.  The morning while getting ready was tear-filled as R realized that I wasn't going to be there with him.  See the first time we went to check it out, I stayed and we played together so he felt comfortable there.  He thought that I was going to stay again with him.  P ended up taking the boys, I worked earlier than he did, and we try to minimize the time the boys spend there.  So drop off the first day ever was done by superdad.  I got a text message from P saying that they both did great.  I figured it was him trying to make me feel better about not being there.  But sure enough, the boys were rockstars.  No crying from either of them!  R said that he had a super mega lot of fun, and is so excited to go back.  When P went to get K from the nursery, K was sitting in the lap of one of the teachers.  He was busy playing, and disregarded P at first.   

All this being said, I bet you all want to come live with me right now : ).  Super Why is over.  Off to do some art project with R, to redeem my gold star.
