Tonight I laced up my running shoes for the first time in a while. I never thought I would say that running 3 miles on a treadmill is lovely...but it is. I am a trail running lover, but well, with three kiddos and a husband on the brink of defending his dissertation trail running is just not feasible. So I take second best, and bring my iPod full of crazy good tunes and pound my 16 day post-partum body away on the rickity old treadmill that the apartment complex has.
Now my lungs are sore, my legs feel like jell-0, and I am sure I will regret it tomorrow - or tonight as I roll my sore body out of bed for the who-knows-what-time to nurse the slowest nurser around. But it is worth it, the soreness and nursing. See both will help me in that quest for the pre-pregnancy body that I want back, not to mention the added benefits to little J that nursing has or the mental health perks the endorphins from running brings to help reduce the chance of post-partum depression. So I run, and I love it. It is good to be back!

I've just started back up this week - 3 days so far, and man oh man, is it wonderful. It hurts, and it's hard, but like you said... it's SO worth it. Way to go on getting back out there so quickly!! :)
You are a rockstar mama! Back to running already! I sit here amazed. :)
