Randomocity around our house...

  • R does "quiet time" for an hour each day.  Yesterday's "quiet time" was a "book-fest."  While it was a total mess, I'll never forget the way his little 4 year old self looked perched on top of his mound of books, as he "read" them quietly to himself.

  • The clothes saga continues...

  • And while I can ignore them away all I want, the truth of the matter is, they were taking over the couch.  So the plan for last night - to strap sweet J to my chest in my favorite sling, and fold away.
and it was success.  Perhaps that 30 minute run in the rain was the pick me up I needed to get stuff done around here.  Either way, we are living in cleanliness, for this minute at least :).

  • Instead of cleaning during the day, we were much too busy doing stuff.  Good stuff, like playing at the local toy store with our kids, and swinging through the DQ drive-thru because nothing beats an afternoon filled with fun and ice cream.  At the drive-thru P decided to purchase, then drive off without, a corndog.  See J hates the carseat, and P hates to hear his little girl in distress, so he bailed without the corndog because the 1 minute wait was just unbearable. She has him wrapped around her finger already...

So we came home, corndog-less, and P complained for a bit about how much he wanted the corndog.  I, of course, made fun of him.

  • P is an amazing daddy, and watching him be a daddy makes me melt...

  •   My kids are getting along fantastically (except when they aren't- which hasn't been recently), and that makes me melt too

  • Tomorrow is a huge day for Paul, end result...Dr. Paul Loprinzi.  We can't wait!

  • I may have put J in R's doll stroller and bassinet at one time...and she didn't appreciate it.

  • I may have also taken some cheesy pictures with P and my wedding rings...

  •  Then I let my 4 year old play with the wedding rings, then J had a major blow out, and while I was changing her diaper I might have forgotten I left our rings with R.  Needless to say I had to look for those rings for almost an hour.  The picture of him with a "nose ring" made the frantic search for the rings worth it.
 goodness his dimples are delicious!
Needless to say, the rings are back in their proper places now
  • and here are two of my kids...guess which ones.

  • I love my "giant baby" and the way he sits at their little blue table playing trains

  • and the way he reaches, realizes he can't reach, so rises up on his tip toes for a binky.  Self sufficient little man.
  • We got package from the dean at Bellarmine full of BU gear for the kids.  R put on K's shirt...and said "I'm a knight, that's right!"  then proceeded to play knights the rest of the afternoon.  P was the king, R was a knight, I was the queen, J was the princess, and K was the dragon (poor K).

  • and lastly, J is 3 weeks old.  She is still smaller at 3 weeks than both the boys were at birth.
  •  But she is growing.
