Things I should have done before bedrest...

I am 36 weeks.  Which is 4 weeks from terms, 4 weeks from meeting our little girl.

Which doesn't seem that long.  But it is when you are on bedrest.  These last 4 weeks are when I am my craziest.  Crazy busy trying to get that "to do list before baby arrives" complete.

The list that has things such as
  • Clean like crazy
  • Prepare freezer meals
  • Last minute shopping trip
But it will remain "to do" until P can get around to it, because well, I am on bedrest and will not be able to forget it.

P constantly politely reminds me of the need to stay put.  He furrows his brow each, and every time I have to get up to pee...which is a lot.  He even has R in on the nagging - "mommy if I see you up I am suppose to tell you to just chill out on the couch."
It is all in the best interest of our sweet J, so I take it, the nagging that is...though not without multiple eye rolls.

The boys are well taken care of by superdad.  Though the three of them together are a wrecking crew.  They have so much fun playing, but picking up is hard.  And on a normal day I'd smile in the mess, evidence that the three of them had a blast together.  But now with knowing that it could be anywhere from days to weeks till we meet and bring home our little girl, the maternal nesting instinct has me going crazy looking at the disaster the three tornadoes leave behind.

and then there is the part of the "to do" list where a good wife/mom would have prepared a freezer full of meals to quickly heat and serve.  Never got to that..guess it looks like we will be eating a lot of Baja.

Finally the last minute shopping trip.  You know, the one where you purchase the things to get before a new baby arrives; newborn diaper, thick maxi pads, nursing pads, wipes, binkies, bottles, etc...It seems I'm not going anywhere, anytime soon to go make these purchases so P has specific notes next to the listed items now to help in his shopping adventure...

Newborn size diapers - Pampers Swaddlers up to 8lbs.
Bottles - something good for J, clueless in this dept as the boys were strictly boobie babies, goodluck.
Binkies - Nuk size 0-6 months, girl colors :)
Maxi pads - something thick, you know for after having a baby.
Wipes - the yellow kind, Target brand, Up and Up or something like that.
Nursing pads - something cheap, with large quantities, Gerber I think...

Hope this helps him.  What a stud to man up and take care of the womanly duties the next few weeks.  He is super husband/dad.
