36 weeks

We had an ultrasound today.  The four of us squeezed in the tiny room, armed with goldfish crackers to keep the boys busy.  R was so cute as he was looking at his sister on the screen.  He was able to see her "talk" to him.  His little giggle was the greatest sound ever.  He is SO excited, and the car ride home was filled with conversations about "how many days till March mom, I just wanna see Jovie outside of your belly."

Now I am waiting for a phone call about the results.

and for fun, another comparison picture of my 3 pregnancies.  It is clear that I carry my boys WAY differently than I carry our little girl.

I was in a nurse meeting at work when P sent me the text about the appointment.

Jovie is little, which isn't anything new.  She is about 5 lbs - which in ultrasound world really means she is somewhere between 4-6lbs.  Her measurements are smaller than what they should be, however her head is normal size.  Go figure.  She is in the 28th percentile.  I will be so curious to see her size in about 3 weeks.  It would sure be funny if she was bigger than both of her brothers, since we have been so worried the entire pregnancy about her petite size. The ultrasound tech said he predicts her to have a full head of hair by the white fuzz all over her head on the ultrasound.  She looks like she has such squishy cheeks, though I was assured that this is just because she is smooshed in there, and not because she is "packing on the pounds."  We could already count her 10 fingers and 10 toes.  It is so crazy to love someone so much without officially meeting yet...

My BP continues to be an issue, so I get to be attentive to other factors that could indicate a worsening condition.

The scale yielded unfavorable results yesterday, though I am sure the slurpee I am currently drinking right now, and the fact that the 7-eleven guy recognizes me might be a HUGE contributing factor in that.  I am officially the heaviest I have ever been, though I am told the +2 pitting edema is to blame.  I sure hope my doctor is right about the pitting edema being the cause of the weight gain, because if Jovie is small like they predict it means I got a whole lotta work to do to get back into shape.  I am sure I can sign up for a marathon in KY :)!

and this pregnancy is doing P a favor as evidence by the multiple text messages he sends my way saying "nice boobs."  Not that you wanted to know that...

that is all.
