Dash

We went to the pet store this morning, me and the babies.  Yes, I know K is 3, but he is still home with me, still my little baby.

We got food, a leash, toys, and a crate.  K wanted to bring home one of those adoptable cats too, but P would of died.

While I was deciding which overpriced dog crate to purchase, my babies climbed into the display one.    Unfortunately because I let K play Angry Birds on the drive to the petstore, there is not photographic evidence of the ordealI as my battery was drained :(.  But it was funny.

It was even more funny when I let them continue to play in there as I decided which puppy food I should purchase.

Gold star for parenting efforts.

We looked at the fish, hamsters, mice, and reptiles.

Some of the mice might of been, ahem, busy.  K says "look, they wrestling."  Yep, K, wrestling.

Anyway, after staying way too long, and having babies who were tired and ready for lunch, it was way past time to be done.

I had two tired babies, a shopping cart full of dog loot, and a massive dog crate to get up to the checkout and then to the car.

So there I was, half carrying, half dragging what felt like a 70lb box of dog crate AND while pushing the cart, AND using the eyes that were in the back of my head to be attentive to babies - "J please put that down, K keep up with mama."

Just as I was 4 aisles away from that darn checkout register I abandoned that dog crate right in the middle of the aisle.  I took the kids and told the 4 guys who were shooting the breeze at the register, "if you'd like me to purchase this overpriced crate from you all (yes, I live in KY, no I don't say y'all) then someone better carry it to the register and then to my car for me!"

So I might of been frazzled.

Just a tad.

The car ride home was filled with fussing, and then silence from kids who were eating bananas and goldfish crackers...for lunch.

Gold star for the lunch today.

We made it home, got the loot inside, and go the tired babies down for a nap.

and then...

I went next door to get him.

and he is a big hit around here.
