Hello Spring!

We had 30 straight days of rain with temperatures in the 50's, and then today...it was just glorious.  After being cooped up in the apartment for what seemed forever, this change in weather was exactly what we needed.

60 degrees.

blue, sunny skies.

Made for a perfect afternoon outdoors.

Being true Oregonians we were outside in shorts playing water balloons, because R thinks that when the sun is out and there is blue skies it is "summertime for sure."

and when the sand bucket wasn't large enough to hold the number of water balloons that R needed wanted,  we used the trash can...

Just doing our best to live up the white trash apartment lifestyle; kids in mismatched clothes, husband peeking out the front door in a white tank, with a giant baby digging in the trashcan...

While the boys were giggling/screaming, J snoozed away, I would of too if I was this cozy...

After the water balloons R whipped out the chalk.  He practiced writing words and sounding them out in order to spell them...

Then he asked me "draw Bob the tomato mom, please."  So I told him, "only if you draw Larry."
and his Larry drawing looked great!
Kiplin was more excited to carry around the chalk in the bucket, than actually draw with it
however he did leave his masterpiece on the sidewalk as well

We ended with bubbles, and goodness K was in awe

I headed in with K and J to start dinner while P and R played soccer.  I had to stop cooking because of the K giggles I overheard, I walked back to R's room and this is what I saw,

Yikes, we haven't had a month of rain, but we did have an AWFUL storm come through yesterday. Thankfully the sun is shining here today, too.

You draw a perfect Bob! :)
