He is finally paid for...

While I was in the hospital right after J was born, I got a phone call from the billing office of the hospital that I had K at.

"well ma'am we did send out 3 notices via US mail, now we are just doing a friendly courtesy call before sending this to collections."

Lovely.

Apparently we didn't pay one of the medical bills for the delivery.

K is 19 months old.  Funny that it took 19 months to finally get a phone call about the matter.

We moved shortly after K was born, I didn't update our address with the hospital, and apparently having my mail forwarded to our new address through USPS wasn't enough for the 3 bills to get to us. 

I like that they don't bother to call until ready to send a bill to collections.  Our phone number never changed in the last 19 months, they got ahold of me just fine when they did make their "friendly courtesy call."

If they would have called sometime in the last, um...19 months they could of been paid sooner.

*sigh*

and so $495 later, he is officially paid for...or at least his birth is.

Now to start working on paying her birth off :)
