6.5 month stats

6.5 months old and we finally went in for her well child check, late, but we went :).  It was hard to be motivated to go into the pediatrician electively after spending so much time being seen by healthcare providers the last two months for sick visits.

but I found a new pediatrician, who I adore.  Sure makes appointments less painful to wait around for when you like the healthcare provider.  The wait is not too terrible, given I have this little treasure to keep me occupied.

Oh, and sister sits.  Wobbly because of the ear infection, but she sits!

Also new in her things of neatness according to Ryker, is her first word.  DADADADDAD.  I cringe that it isn't mama, it never is the first word from my babies, but hearing her sweet voice is pretty much one of the best sounds ever.

She also has taken a strong attachment to her heart blanket.  Girlfriend must have it to sleep with.  She wraps the silky part around her tiny thumb, then sucks on them both.

Oh, and she waves!  Cutest when it is to her big brother, who beams in excitement.  I'll have to make a video of the cuteness.

15lbs 8 oz (30th percentile), and 28 inches long (97th percentile!)  She had a raging ear infection still, but other than that is growing like a weed.  She got a shot of antibiotics because this ear infection is going on 6 weeks and has failed two doses or oral meds.  Hoping it clears soon!  Jovie and Kip went to the appointment with us, and were so very concerned with her cries after her shot.  Jov rubbed Hart's head and said "I'm so sorry you got hurter baby girl, I love you so much" and kissed her head.

Her ear infections has thrown her sleeping habits back into the newborn baby days, we're hopeful once it resolves we'll have a baby who goes back to being the beautiful sleeper she once was.

At 6.5 months old our Hartley Lane wears size 9 month sleepers, size 6 month onsies, size 6 month clothes, size 2 diapers.  It is so interesting to compare the size difference between our tiny Jovie girl, and out string bean Hart.  Jovie wore this brown outfit Hartley is in at 12 months old.
