Flu stikes again

He was in great spirits last night.

He played angry birds all day really nicely with his brother, enjoyed an afternoon of outdoor adventures with P.  Later that night he amazed us with his stellar reading skills as he quickly read a book, conquering words that we didn't even know he could sound out.  As P and I tuck him in he whispers to P "your my favorite man."

Perhaps his favorite person remarks stem from an incident early that day where daddy was involved. The end result was a xeroxed copy of a certain 6 year old's tiny tush.

There wasn't any indication, not to send him to school this morning.  You know, aside from the fact that P, J and I were all sick with the flu this past weekend.

His squeamish little face said it all, before the bus driver could even explain, as he was stepping off the bus.

I know the way my healthy little 6 year old looks.  His ashen face, sunken in dark eyes and lethargy were a dead giveaway.

"He just threw up, but R do not worry at all, it happens to everyone.  One time I even threw up as school when I was a little girl" said the bus driver to R, trying to ease his embarrassment.

It didn't help.

He was so mad that he threw up in front of people that he didn't even care that he was sick.

Poor guy.

Now he snuggled up on the couch, with gatorade and a big bowl.

Hoping this passes soon.

I'd deal with it all over again if he didn't have to.  I hate seeing my kiddos miserable!
