He seems so big to me lately.
The thought of him going to Kindergarten in August, oh goodness.
I'm not ready.
He talks about wanting to get a pet, his own pet. A cat.
I tell him not till we have our own house.
"well hurry up and get our own house then, sheesh!"
I agree son.
He tells me that if we run out of money ever, I won't need to worry.
"I got coin money mom, in my doggy bank"
I remind him that we won't run out of money because mommy and daddy have jobs.
He tells me he'll be a soccer coach to make money someday, for his job.
I laugh, thinking that maybe he might need to resort to his coins in his doggy bank someday then...
He wanted to watch himself on tv, a home video of him when he was 6-10months old.
He said "I was cute when I was a baby, mom"
I tell him he is still cute, he'll always be cute.
"even when I'm a grown up mom, I'll still be cute."
Always, son.
He looks up and says "I think your cute mom"
This home video lets me see my 5 year old Ryk in a new way.
He used to be so squishy, and soft, and stayed where you sat him down at.
Now he is a string bean, and never sits still, and keeps me on my toes.
He ask questions, and talks.
Oh how he talks.
and as much as I want to tell him, you've told me the exact same thing 3 times, I let him go.
Cause he is learning, and exploring, and I love to be a part of it.
and he loves his mama, just like the little squishy 6 month old Ryk did.
I hope he always does.
