Froggie

I was cleaning out Ryker's froggie tank tonight (yes, I know it is technically a frog tank, but the frog's name is froggie).

and froggie got out.

The last time Ryker's frog tank was cleaned, there were 2 frogs.  One got out and hopped all over the bathroom floor.  I wasn't home at the time, but Paul said Ryker squealed like a girl and busted out of the bathroom as quick as possible.  Cause we were new to this having-an-aquatic-pet-business, we found out the unfortunate way that frog tanks needs special water...only one of the frogs survived the first tank cleaning :(.

So you can imagine Ryk's worries when I told him I was going to clean the tank today.

It was grimy and just needed to be done.  I said I'd be super careful.  And I was, but it jumped, and I squealed.  But unlike Ryk I didn't run off, I attempted to grab the frog.  But I didn't get it in time.

It went down the drain in the kitchen...

So I let out a noise that was meant to take place of the swear words that I was saying in my head, this summoned Paul to stop doing whatever he was doing on the computer and come help this crisis.

I was looking over the drain trying to see if I could spot the little sucker and of course Paul took the opportunity to startle me, so then I screamed.  There I was in the kitchen, squealing because of a tiny little frog.  I was annoyed and told him he needed to get it out, cause I'm a wuss like that.  He was armed with the frog a net and a kitchen spoon.  We took the rubber stopper thing out of the garbage disposal side of the sink and we could see it hopping around.  Paul stuck the little red net down there and scooped up the frog.

Success.

So it is safe and sound, back in the tank.

and we will be on the lookout the next few days to make sure the frog stays swimming in his tank, hoping that it didn't catch some sort of frog killing disease from the yuck that was in the pipes of the kitchen sink.

No need to fear, the kitchen was entirely sanitized after this frog-business.

Next time, if we are blessed with a next time, perhaps the cleaning of the tank will be done outside...
