R has picked up on doing what he calls "junk day." This involves him gathering whatever he can find - toys, clothes, books, cups, paper, etc - and throwing it all into one big pile. It keeps him entertained for hours, but the mess, oh the mess afterward is just, well...
Another strange little quirk R has been up to lately, filling up an empty milk jug. He shoves random odds and ends into it. He asked me to get out his darts to his Nerf gun, and well I told him I would have to cut the milk jug open, and he look petrified. So the darts are still in there, and he continues to carry around this milk jug. He even took it for a walk one night.
K is getting good at conveying his needs with the finger point, which is much preferred over the grunt or frustrated scream.
R and I made these ghosts together, compliments of Michaels dollar spot section. I love getting these cheapo crafts, and I love putting them together with my crafty little boy even more. And the cute wooden pumpkin holder, Goodwill, for $1. Despite having my first job that pays decent, this girl knows how to decorate for the holidays on a college student budget, and still continues to do so. Rockstar. BTW we had 5 ghosts at one point, one for each of our family members (yes baby in belly counts, even R says so) but, well I wanted a sucker and so...now we have 4.
And going along with R's "junk day" is K's obsession to empty wipe and Kleenex containers. I, of course, let this happen and sit back and watch. So if you wonder why our wipes and Kleenex look used, wonder no more. He even shoves them back in when he is done. Such a great little helper, already cleaning up after himself.
And R wanted his toenails painted. So it happened. He picked a brilliant blue if I might add, his choice. His response, "my toes look so cute." Oh to be 3.
