Rub-a-dub-dub

I remember when my parents tried to lower their water bill when I was growing up.  They had 4 kids who loved long, warm showers.  So they got timers, set them for 5 minutes and said when it buzzed we needed to be done...

Their plan was a bust.

Now that it is role reversal, and I'm the one forking the water bill, I understand their intent with that annoying kitchen, turned shower, timer.

While my kids aren't shower lovers (yet), they do like a good, long bath.  The kind that prunes toes and fingers, and requires us to add in additional hot water to keep the bath temperature to the degree of perfection.  Thankfully most nights there are usually at least two kids in the tub together, so that saves some.

Despite the ever increasing water bill, I've said it before and it hasn't changed a bit, bath time is my favorite time of day.  And somedays, lately especially, bath time occurs more than once.  Nothing soothes a fussy baby like play time in the tub.

The imagination, learning, and laughter that occurs during tub time...oh I love it.

"Kip this here corner, is the parking lot.  Gotta watch out for that nasty mommy hair, if you drive into it, your wheels will pop right off!" - Ryk

a few seconds after this picture, Kip knocked Ryk in the head with this car.  "Kip you can't hit, if you do, you are going to go to Judy, yep the cops will come and take you to Judy (Paul and Ryk had a conversation about where "bad kids who do bad, bad things" go one night...Juvie - as in Juvenile Hall)"

To prevent such a thing, Ryk swiped the car away from his rowdy little brother.  He made Kip say he was sorry, and they continued on.  My Ryk, he is such a good big brother!
