His last day as a 5 year old...
The third week of school brought anxiety every morning, he'd rather stay snuggled up in his cozy bed with his favorite comfort items. He has been crying in the mornings before school because the newness and exciting factor has worn down by week 3. And how absolutely snuggly is this bundle of love in his bed…I'd never want to leave either? I dodged a tearful birthday morning before school, by giving him a gift to open in the car on the ride to school. Legos. He was thrilled. He came home from school wearing this birthday hat, and it stayed put the remainder of the day.
Despite the embarrassingly expensive Lego Minecraft sets…the $3 "feet cuffs" that Jovie picked out especially for him, were his "most favorite treasured gift."
He wanted a Minion cake…we found Minion tummies -they were disgusting, but cute, and threw on some sprinkles and called it a day. This whole mama, full time NP gig has my cake baking skills from a box. Time, there is never enough. But he thought it was "super mega rad" which is all that matters.
Happies of birthdays to my middle little. My Kiplin Miles. 6 is going to be full of intense brain growth, and I'm just so excited to see how you change.
At 6 years old you wear size 10 shoes, size 5 clothes, weigh __lbs, are ___inches tall. You've started showing more affection: particularly to Hartley and me. You love mine craft, minions, legos, scooter riding, bike riding (but refuse to go training wheel-less yet), jumping on the trampoline, hide n' seek, your stuffed cat foo-foo-fluffy, strawberries, and smoothies.
