104 degrees

Day 3 of 104 degrees.

I came home from work at 8am, and we headed outdoors to play since it was only 82 degrees.  This is the face of someone who has been up for 24 hours...(me not her) thank goodness.

My kids, they love the outdoors.  If I let them, they would be outside all day long.  When we are in the yard, and K wants to go inside, he says "I wanna go home."

They hang around on the play structure before everything gets too hot to play on...

My R, he loves the swings, but hates to pump.  Poor guy just doesn't have the coordination (or patience) just yet to figure it out...soon enough.  So when P or I can't push him, he either does the superman, or spins in circles, or in this case - does both.  His giggle as the swing spins, oh goodness, it is magical.
and K likes to copy anything and everything R does.

When they get too hot, we switch activities.  K pleads "water mommy, I want the hose, please mommy!"  Being in control of the hose is a big deal in this family.  So much, in fact, that a time limit is set for each kid to be king/queen of the hose.  This middle guy, goodness he is so funny to watch when it is "Piplin's turn" and everyone has to watch out unless they don't mind getting soaked of course.

Thankfully, since everyone has spacious yards round these parts, no neighbors were woken up by the squeals of little miss, who wanted to be queen of the hose the entire morning, but couldn't.  Isn't her pout the cutest thing ever, add in throwing around her sundress, and a lip quiver... and, well, she is about the cutest drama queen around.
Eventually she got over it, and enjoyed the kiddie pool sans hose.

and because my gal is little, we've dipped back into her summer clothes from last year.  What a difference a year makes.  Here are my three rowdy kids last year at this time...

A fun comparison...same gal, same size dress (3-6 months) - then (Aug 2011) and now.

and her consignment store $2 knock of Crocs, which actually look like a croc...well they are cuteness, so what if they don't go with her sundress.

Anyway...R decided  he would ask a question, and apparently amidst the baby chaos, it is necessary to raise his hand to be heard.

"instead of my turn being king of the hose, can we have Popsicles?
I said at 9am?
He said "sure"
so I said sure, cause I'm cool like that.
They had 2, because I'm super cool.  R even said so.

Look at my stellar sons.  Goodness how I love these little guys!
